A lot of things that get produced from the thorki fandom remind me of my favorite comic book series, 風雲.
You can’t blame a plot device like that for being repeated; there are a lot of interesting dynamics in a relationship between a “good brother” and a “bad brother” who are manipulated into those positions by their father figure and are inevitably left in a position where, from the outside, they seem to be at complete odds but privately are the only ones capable of comprehending the other.
Although 步惊云 would be Loki, aesthetically he is more like Thor (and vice versa)…
I’ve been reading comic books since before I could actually read and I have a collection worth more than all of my internal organs would cost on the black market combined but I don’t like Batman or Superman and that doesn’t mean I’m a poser.
If the first thing you think of when the subject of comic books comes up is Marvel and DC’s two cash cows then you aren’t as cultured and well read in the realm of geekery as you like to pretend.
Talk about The Desert Peach every once in a while, or at least Milk and Cheese…
