Time flies; the time flies feed on rotting clocks

Also, a quick reverse google image search shows where else this image has been featured - let’s take a look at some of these shall we?
a forum for posting pictures of hot “babes”
at thismakesmehorny.tumblr.com (warning - NSFW)
at another site collecting eroticized portraits of women
in a thread for beautiful pictures of women/men that are mildly and/or not clothed and can be softcore doin it too   (warning - NSFW)
on what is basically a striaght up porn site (NSFW)
The fact that this image is already appearing in lists of eroticized, fetishized images of women for the male gaze is not encouraging.

As a friend of mine remarks, “They’re totally fetish lesbians.”
Personally, from a purely marketing point of view, I imagine reading this on the bus and shuddering. If I glanced at this cover in a bookstore, I would not buy this book and I certainly wouldn’t be drawn to it. On the other hand, I expect that people picking up this book and going “yay lesbian erotica” are going to be pretty damn disappointed by what’s inside. Forget what this cover says about aces, it also fails in that it does a poor job of actually advertising the contents of the book to potential readers.
If this is their best attempt at marketing this anthology, if this is seriously the best image they can think of to convey “asexual romance” to their target audience as quickly and effectively as possible—well, I shouldn’t think this publisher will remain in business much longer.

they’re not ‘in business’ like some real publishing company. not to disparage small publishers, but it looks like it’s just christyleighstewert’s self-pubbing hobby.she calls for these submissions and the books are probably print-on-demand. I can’t say I see the point of publishing in the anthology over just putting our works on the net for free; or self-publishing them through amazon for the kindle ourselves. short stories don’t sell great, but if you sell 20 copies at 2.99 you’ve made as much money as you would for starring in this anthology; and you’d have full control over the title and cover.
FYI The last comment is wrong and this is the correction I sent the poster:

Not to correct your horrible inaccuracy or anything but…you’re talking shit.  The publishing company is not mine, I am friends with some people who work there and so I try to support them by advertising their call for submissions.  Before spreading inaccurate information about a company and setting yourself up for charges for slander you might want to check your facts.  The owner is registered and licensed, that information is public if you care to look.

If this WERE my company I’d have words with you…
